I am 5"1’ and I want to buy a timeless neutral (beige, brown) wool coat <£400. Could you please suggest something that I can invest in that wont drown me but would be long enough and timeliness?

Hi,
Every year I think & Other Stories are great for wool coats, the model wearing these is 5’11 so I think they would fall at a slighter longer, nice length on you.
COS is also so amazing for coats this season, depending on the shade you want these could also be options, I think they look a larger fit to the & Other Stories though.

Hi, the model is 5’11! The coats don’t fall to full length on her, so I think for your height they would fall to a nice, longer length

I have tried other stories coat even the xs will drown me in!
I agree, & Other Stories and Cos coats run big and are too oversized and boxy for petites generally. Sezane is gorgeous, but I also find things run big so you would be limited to whatever the smallest size they offer is, and if it’s in stock lol. Have you considered J. Crew or Abercrombie? They both offer wool coats in petite sizing and have some pretty options that are reasonable. I am searching for a coat like this in a beautiful blue and am 5’ tall so I feel your struggle!
