I’m heading to Barcelona for a couple of nights at the start of June (following the Spanish Grand Prix). We already have accommodation booked near to the beach but would love any recommendations for authentic restaurants, things to do & see - nothing really touristy if we can avoid it.
Thank you!

Dinner at Cal Pep is a must: https://www.calpep.com/?lang=en
And while Park Guell is stunning, Montjuic Park is also beautiful and hardly any tourists know about it!

This was a while ago but I went here one night and it was a bit different! Loved it for a casual drink: Home
Also love La Isabela at Hotel 1898 - amazing rooftop bar

I love wandering the streets of the Gothic Quarter is so atmospheric, and while it is touristy, it’s also full of locals with cafes and tapas bars everywhere. I love the Picasso museum here too

Barcelona is my fav city, I got married there almost two years ago.
Some of our fav restaurants -
Bar del pal: local vibes and so delish. Closed on Sundays
Rao: sexy date vibes, you have to get the octopus
The cotton house hotel: great for brunch or cocktails on the terrace. This is where we got married, it’s such a beautiful little oasis in the city.
Picnic: great for brunch

Le Bistro Sensi is one of my favourite tapas restaurants in Barcelona - I go every time!
Experience The best tapas in Barcelona with Le Bistro Sensi - I advise you book in advance as it gets very busy.

Any of the Sensi tapas restaurants…
Parking Pizza for a casual bite… decor is really cool, its in an old car park inside. Pizza is unreal!
Bocca Grande for drinks/food. Its expensive but the toilet/bathroom downstairs turns into a party and the decor is fab! Bocca Chica is the bar upstairs, also lovely for cocktails.
Macarena is a great club (its tiny!) but great for house/tech music…
For really fresh Mexican food/Spicy margs, El Pachuco is really good… watch ya pockets round there though

Hello, my bestie lives in Barcelona so lucky to go a lot. For vegans and vegetarians I recommend Flax and Seed restaurant. Also visit the gallery Ville del Artes. If you have time the beaches slightly further out of Barcelona, which you can reach by train are lovely and soho beach house has based itself out of town.
