So, I know it’s a little early but i’m hosting Christmas for my husband’s brothers this year and wondered what people’s best or favourite recipes were/are so I can get some inspo!
Some great chefs gave us some fun ideas last year!
I swear by Jamie Oliver’s master plan – you adjust the Christmas dinner recipes based on the number of people you’re cooking for what time you want to eat. You’ll need about 8 big bunches of sage but everything is delicious!
Plus, I love his starter of homemade smoked salmon pate! Very fresh and easy to prep in advance:
If you like a veggie option also, this wellington is a hit every year in my family Ultimate Vegan Christmas Roast Wellington - Gaz Oakley
Oooo will take a look at the master plan - Timings for me are always tough as we have such a small kitchen and oven, and it’s just me cooking!
Ok so as of now I have the following recipes i’m thinking of doing:
- Champagne and lemon prawn vol-au vents
- Spiced and Glazed Lamb
- Roast Carrots with Tahini and hazelnuts
- Roast potatoes
- Dauphinoise Potatoes
- Garlic Parmesan Sprouts
- Mushroom wellington (individual one for a veggie)
- Sherry Trifle
- Chrsitmas Cake
- Chestnut and Chocolate Yule Log
I make Tom kerridge Christmas carrots every year and everyone loves them, and it’s really easy.
