Birthday drinks/dinner with friends tips

Hi there, I’m sure there’ll be tonnes of great tips you have for a London (central, or c. Waterloo/ish) for group of c. 10 friends with mixed budgets. I’ve a huge list of restaurants and bars I’m keen to get to but also trying to be mindful of different budgets, locations, veggies/meat eaters, and it being something a bit special, fun… we’re in our 40s (but very much in denial!). Thanks xxxxx

Thsanks @rachelmartel great ideas, I’m looking more for dinner/drinks but definitely keep this for another fun night out idea xxxx

I don’t know if this is the vibe you would want but sometimes a BYOB can be fun and obviously on the cheaper side. I once went to Poppy’s in Hammersmith which had a really nice/pretty outdoor area. Definitely something a bit different. You might want something smarter but definitely worth doing research as there are some nice ones!

Another restaurant favorite of mine for special occasions and doesn’t break the bank is Wild by Tart in Victoria! Lot’s of sharing plates for different dietary requirements and a lovely restaurant x

I would recommend The NoMad’s restaurant in Covent Garden. It has a beautiful atrium and a really fun, buzzy vibe at the weekend. Various options for different budgets but still feels special. You can also head to the basement bar for drinks afterwards (Common Decency) which is really glam!

Otherwise Stanley’s in Chelsea is solovely! Easy to get to, there’s a lovely terrace and the food is fab!

Thanks & good idea re BYOB. Tarte on my list as option, good to hear you rate it :+1: xxx

Our wine bar – amie wine studio – is a really fun spot for a birthday! We can set up the upstairs for you so that you have the space to mingle over drinks. If you decide to head to Wild by Tart for dinner, you could come to us first for drinks, as we’re right beside Tart, in the Eccleston Yards courtyard! If it’s sunny out, you can sit in the courtyard and enjoy your wine. Attaching a photo of a birthday we had recently upstairs. Email us if you have any questions! studio@drinkamie.com

confirming this is a very fun evening! x
