I also really love The Hambledon for gifts - they do pretty candle holders which would go nicely with a set of tapered candles, bobbin-style frames from Bertola Home Studio, and retro matches like these - Labat & Fils French Match Strike in Gift Box – The Hambledon. Just lots of lovely home accessories.

What about a piece from Kchossack Pottery?

I love the little pinch pots, ceramic coasters or side plates

I have also saved these napkins from Zara Home, I think they would make a lovely little festive gesture

I’ve been given gorgeous toiletries and even make up over the years, which I’ve actually loved more than house-y stuff! If your host is someone who has worked hard to cook and make it a special evening, I think a pampering gift is lovely. Check out Space NK minis range - usually on a special display. My friend gave me a mini Nars palette and another a mini Charlotte Tilbury mascara.

To combine homeware and pampering, I’d go for Neom every time

Flowers sent a few days after the event as a thank you can be a lovely and welcome surprise. There are a few letterbox flower companies that offer reasonably priced bouquets.
