I’m going to Orlando with my family in September and will be going to the theme parks like Disney World and Universal Studios. Obviously it’s not the most chic of locations but I’d still like to look semi cool and feel good. Any ideas on what to wear?
In terms of the weather, days are usually hot with balmy evenings, so they say visitors should pack light and cool clothing. The average daily maximum is 32 C and the average daily minimum is 23 C. It will be humid and short bursts of a lot of rain likely.
Would love to hear people’s thoughts!
Thanks xx

How about a linen co-ord. They are super easy to wear and the high street has some great options like this one from River Island which comes in lots of different colours.
Some cool sliders and some oversized sunnies and you are good to go!

So fun!! I have the happiest memories from going to Disney World.
I do remember it’s really hot so agree a linen coord is perfect. Super effortless and keeps you cool. Or a great pair of denim cut offs, a white tank and an open linen shirt over the top. I’d say keep it simple and go big with accessories.
Have the best time!

I’d just add that if you’re someone who’s up for going on rides, a lot of them involve getting wet or having to stuff bags in a compartment under your feet so I wouldn’t take anything you’re too precious about. Few people in Florida are bothered about fashion – they just want to be comfortable and my hunch is once you’re there, you’ll just want a pair of shorts and a t-shirt! September is also INCREDIBLY humid – like, almost feel sick it’s so humid, so worth bearing that in mind. And take bug spray as the mosquitos are out of control at that time of year with all the storms brewing.
Thanks so much for all of the advice. I totally take the point that Florida isn’t big on fashion I just want to pack outfits that make me feel good on holiday whilst also being practical for the activities! Here’s what I’m thinking off the back of it…

I have the Arket black linen coord (resort short sleeve shirt style) and wear it with my black Arizona Eva sandals. I think this could work well for when I inevitably buy some Minnie Mouse ears to wear around Magic Kingdom.

A kinda Hayley Bieber off duty model vibe with black cycling shorts and black top layered over with a white poplin shirt worn half open. Then either my black Arizona Eva’s or my khaki new balance 327s (or would adidas black gazelle be better. Dad sneakers might look best but I’m trying to travel with just one pair of trainers) l. A lot of black in my outfits but I’m reluctant to buy new stuff that I’ll only wear in peak summer. Maybe also cycling shorts with an oversized t shirt and cool cap?

I love the idea of another coord in a fun colour and went to try on the citrus yellow river island one linked above yesterday but the shorts are quite see through which might not be the best post water ride
. So I’m on the lookout for a bright green one maybe in cheesecloth or kinda crinkle material.

I feel like I can never make a white tank look right on me but maybe I need to think of it as a layering piece vs something I wear on its own
as I love the Jean shorts and a tank look on other people.
