I am going to New York in 3 weeks for 4 days in a couple of weeks. I have been before so ideally want to stay away from the touristy places. Please can I have recommendations for the best areas, restaurants, bars and shopping please! X
Definitely check out Charlotte’s recent feature!
I second that! Plus I was there last week - definitely book tickets to see the Karl Lagerfeld exhibition at the Met (but go first thing - there’s a virtual queue on arrival that becomes very lengthy) - plus we had dinner at Bondst where I hadn’t been for a few years and it’s still unreal

NYC is my fave - you will have a blast. My favourite area in New York is Williamsburg in Brooklyn. It has great vintage stores (Awoke Vintage and L Train Vintage), food spots (Misi, 12 Chairs, The Four Horsemen & Robertas) and skyline views (The Westlight or even just down by the water at Domino Park)!
Other recs I’d always mention are renting bikes and cycling around Central Park before popping into The Plaza for a few drinks. Bubby’s for brunch. Grand Banks for a fun sunset dinner on a boat. And lastly, make sure you get a pizza slice and also a bagel at some point of your trip!
NYC is my favourite city, you’ll have the best time!
Here are a few of my favourite spots for breakfast/brunch: Jack’s Wife Freda, Leon’s Bagels, Sadelle’s, Clinton St Baking Co, Sarabeth’s
& for the evenings: Sant Ambroeus, American Bar, Bar Pitti, Saint Theo’s, BondST, Lola Taverna, The Odeon
Make sure you also hit Chelsea Market & Joe’s Pizza on Carmine St for a slice of the best pizza!
For shopping Bleeker St in the West Village and around that area is always lovely x
Wow!! So many wonderful tips here, my fave restaurant is the Gramercy Tavern. Last time I couldn’t get a reservation, so we just sat at the bar, chatting, eating and drinking (great combo!). The food is always awesome. Have a great time Gramercy Tavern | New York
