Any recommendations for an affordable but luxurious one night spa break either in or easy train ride from London.

I haven’t stayed here but I’ve got my eye on this Richmond hotel - they’re just done the spa and it looks great
I have just been to The Retreat At Elcot Park which has treatment rooms, an outdoor pool heated all year round and an indoor hydrotherapy pool plus sauna and steam and a gym. It’s good value and feels v country but not too far away

Great shout Georgina, I went to Harbour last year which was lovely - doesn’t feel like you’re in London!
I’d also recommend Lutton Hoo hotel in Bedfordshire for a spa day which costs around £200 for two hour-long treatments, lunch and use of the spa facilities.

How about Sopwell House in St Albans? The spa is incredible (it was very recently renovated) and you can jump on the train from London Bridge.
