I’m on the hunt for a great party outfit for my mum. She’s 70 years old, has great legs, wants to keep the top of her arms covered and doesn’t like long skirts or dresses. It could be either a top and trousers or a dress. Any ideas of which brands that aren’t super pricey I should look at?

I would consider looking at Massimo Dutti Studio, they have a great new collection that has some fun pieces, for example this bouclé textured jacket would look lovely with some smart trousers

For something at a slightly more investment price point, Rixo also has a great new collection, including lots of pretty dresses that cover the top of your arms.

Wyse London Wyse is great! Super fun blouses and great trouser shapes. I’d also suggest Me & Em for suits/cool trousers and Iris in Hampstead or Northcote Road also
