Potentially off skiing next year and need to stock up on clothing! I have a couple of the main things already like a jacket / salopettes but would love other recs too please for what to take with me. No max budget but a variety of price points would be helpful! Thank you x
I swear by Uniqlo Heat Tech - Women's HEATTECH thermal clothing & underwear | UNIQLO UK
It is a lifesaver, not just for skiing but for winter in general x
Sweaty Betty do some nice base layers too - worth looking out for in Boxing Day sales - https://www.sweatybetty.com/activity/ski-and-snowboard/baselayers?start=0&sz=24
I recommend getting a body suit as a base layer so it doesn’t ride up and keeps your lower back toasty. I got some great ones from About, it’s a Norwegian company I think
Thank you! X
I second Uniqlo - or a budget option Decathlon is amazing - especially for things like socks, thermal underwear and other little bits that you need quite a few off: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/browse/c0-sports/c1-skiing/c3-ski-thermals/_/N-xbwg20
Could be worth renting out some of the additional bits, By Rotation has a tonne of moon boots, hats etc!
Love these trousers too if you want to mix up the looks on the slope!
x
Ooo fab thank you for the help everyone! Will check these out x
Worth getting some decent ski socks, I like Faulk ones. Perhaps worth looking on Vinted too, have been selling some kids ski kit successfully on there. Snow + Rock is a good site for ski clothes.
I usually wear socks from Smartwool (my feet have never been cold) then a base layer from Patagonia/Sweaty Betty/Uniqlo - I second the ultra warm heat tech reccy above!!
Then depending on the weather I’ll wear a fleece or merino wool jumper again from Patagonia/Columbia/perfect moment
Then my ski jacket and pants or suit on top.
I also recommend anon ski goggles that come with a gator to cover your whole face!
