I know similar questions have been asked, but I’m looking for a dress that is very smart but isn’t black for a sit down dinner.
As much as I love to rent a dress, I am hoping to find something I can use for years to come. Sadly all the summer dresses are just a little too casual on the high street and I’m not looking to spend over £200 for it. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, thank you.
I have some lovely dresses from Nobody’s Child, lovely and summery but also very affordable. Similar in style but a little higher price, Rixo have some great, more fun formal dresses. I also have been into Reiss recently and they have some lovely formal pieces, and jumpsuits if you’re interested in those too
I bought a lovely Massimo Dutti slip dress. It felt smart but was very comfortable and the feathers add a fun touch!
I bought in a pale pink but this blue one is gorgeous. I also don’t think the price point is too bad!

Reiss have got some lovely options at the moment for summer black tie. I love this gorgeous pale blue one.
You could definitely dress this up for black tie and it’s in the sale so under your budget!
