Hi all,
I’m looking for a weekend break with my husband to celebrate our joint 40th birthdays. We would like a hotel that is in a pretty setting, good food and a spa if possible (ideally adults only!) Happy to spend a bit as we were due to go abroad but couldn’t make it work with our kids!

Thyme, The Pig, Heckfield, Lucknam Park, The Newt, The Retreat at Elcot Park, Chewton Glen, Clivedon, Le Manoir…

Lucknam Park ticks all the boxes, including incredible food (Michelin star) and spa. Dormy House, Foxhill Manor and Beaverbrook also great x

I just got back from Lime Wood and it was flawless.

I would also recommend The Grosvenor in Hampshire and Glebe House for a special stay! Heckfield is also about to open a new spa offering, as is The Grove (which will be Bamford). Have a wonderful time a spa staycation is such a treat!

The Newt in Somerset and Heckfield Place are two outstanding options.
