I’m looking for an affordable teeth whitening product that actually make a difference on my teeth as I have been introduced to SO many products but results haven’t been great. Please send any recommendations through x
In all honesty, no affordable teeth whiteners really deliver results - or if they do, they are only very minimal. I would always advise going through your dentist/a professional in teeth whitening to get what you’re after. It can be more of an investment, but it’s worth it in the long-run. I had mine done professionally post-braces and I still see results 3 years on!
Failing that, a hygienist appointment makes a temporary - but impressive - difference, and some teeth whitening pens - including HiSmile - can work, but again, they are more of a fast-fix, than a long-term solution. x
The only teeth whitening products that will work must contain either of the bleaching agents carbomide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide.
The best way to safely whiten your teeth is to go to a proper dentist as Rebecca advised above, get them to take your teeth moulds to make your teeth trays and go for at home teeth whitening, which is cheaper, done gradually and gives much better results than 1 hour teeth whitening.
I know all this because I used to work for a renowned dental surgery, which was 1 of the 1st to specialise in teeth whitening and sometimes there was no difference to a client’s teeth shade after the 1 hour whitening, whereas clients were always pleased with their results from the home kits!
I also had my own teeth whitened for free whilst working there as I was always self conscious about my teeth and wanted them to be bright white. Afterwards, people kept commenting on my white teeth and what I had used, so it definitely works, unless you have bonding materials on your teeth or tetracycline staining, then the bleaching gel cannot penetrative through those.
After 20 years, my teeth do need to be whitened again, but I just cannot stand the taste of the bleaching gel. It made me gag, so I do not want to go through that again.
What I really want for Xmas is veneers. Only wish that I could afford them!
