Looking for a new oversized cool girl coat. Probably the completely wrong time to buy a coat. Or could be the right time if I can get it in the sale. Want something that I can dress up or down but looks cool. Dark coat. Probably grey but not black.

I’ve had my long black coat from Massimo Dutti that I picked up in jan sales for years now and the quality is so good - perfectly weighty and fab cut and length. The classic Weekday Alex in grey is also v high on my wishlist -

I’d say go for that grey shade—it’s versatile and not as basic as black. Found a gem last year on sale, and it’s my go-to for dressing up or down.

Also the Weekday Alex coat is a big hit in our office! I have this colour and it elevates any look. Also looks cool styled with joggers and a cap for the weekend.

I think there are still lots of great coats around, have you considered navy? I love Massimo styles for good quality and I would size up in this one for an oversized look
