Hi there, I’m organising a surprise trip in March to Berlin for my friend’s 40th. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions for must do things and any restaurant recommendations. Looking to have one meal at a fancy restaurant & the rest more affordable but tasty! There will be 4 of us in total. Thanks in advance

There’s a fantastic restaurant called Neni. It’s a Persian restaurant and I would recommend going in the day time as you’re quite high up and next to Berlin Zoo so should get good views of the city.

I went to Borchardt in Berlin for dinner last summer and it was really nice - looks quite fancy but wasn’t crazy expensive and does very nice schnitzel!

When I went to the Brandenberg Gate in Berlin, after I went to this amazing Italian restaurant called Mama Trattoria after and it was great food!
