Hi SL Community & @SL Man team - I’m treating a male friend to cocktails pre-dinner for a recent big birthday. Any tips a great smart place to go that might tick the box for boys? Dorchester / Savoy / Connaught / somewhere more modern? Saving Claridges for a girls cocktail moment, so open to suggestions for others.

The 45 Park Lane Hotel
Is a great one as it has a bar upstairs and and is private, they make fantastic martinis there as well. They also have some amazing mini bites/ appetizers to nibble on as well.

Any of the Firmdale hotels is my go-to. Modern, sleek, good cocktails and great service. Personal favourite is Ham Yard for a meal (or summer cocktail on the roof). But the Haymarket is great for just drinks.

Hi the Connaught is the classic but I’ve heard really good things about the guards bar at the OWO. If you’re after something a bit different check out the bars at The Broadwick Soho , or Satans whiskers in Bethnal Green ( always features in worlds best bars ) enjoy

Try Dukes in Mayfair, they are the original Bond Martini. But be careful they limit you to two as they are so strong. they also have a variety of martinis from what I can remember the Vespa is good

i think Disrepute in Soho is a great option, its a modern underground speakeasy, super classy as well

The Guards Bar in Raffles at the OWO is fab and they serve award winning martinis!
