Cafes/bars in central (ish) London for reading etc

I am in between roles right now and would love ideas for nice places I can go in central / north London in the day time to read with a coffee or do writing/thinking, solo lunch etc.

Pret and Joe in the Juice in central London usually have a basement and is super quiet and nice.

I have found Gails in North London to be great to work in x

I am obsessed with Eve in Kensington. It is a café that turns into a chilled bar and I often go there to work/read. Coffee there is fab - haven’t yet tried the food but it looks delish. It is super pretty in there! x

Serata Hall, Old Street is great for this and I’ve heard good things about Caravan, King’s Cross x

My favourite thing is to go to museum/gallery cafes - love the one at the V&A, or the one by Serpentine Gallery!

I second Abuelo in Marylebone & Eve in Kensington! Also Hjem & Guillam in Kensington are great, have heard good things about 1Mayfair cafe x
