If your budget allows, a piece of jewellery. My three grown-up daughters currently wear Tiffany and Links of London pieces kindly gifted to them at their christenings. The only other gift that has stood the test of time is a first edition of Alice in Wonderland.

I would always go for a keepsake - and usually jewellery for girls. My mum and I still wear the silver bangles we were given for our christenings and my daughter has one for when she’s a bit older. X
