Wrong place, wrong time is brilliant. Not exactly crime but it’s a thriller / mystery and had me hooked. Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend anything by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) about a detective (ex-soldier Cormoran Strike) and his partner set in London.
Also really recommend John Grisham, Patricia Cornwall, Michael Connelly, Thursday Murder Club series Ken Follett which others have recommended.

If you haven’t watched the movies yet, I’d recommend Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express.
Personally loved it cause it keeps you guessing until the last chapter
