Dating After Bad Experiences

Hello,

Does anyone have any recommendations into how to go into dating safely? Or am I just looking for something we all wished existed?

I’m looking for a life long partner but have had generalised anxiety in the past, which is less now but still gives me heart palpitations.

I’ve also had plenty of men lie to me about their intentions among other things.

I have had one good relationship in my life that I messed up due to my mental illness.

I really value genuine connection and don’t take it lightly but I feel this aspect of me is taken advantage of.
