I went to the The Dover for the first time last week and LOVED it. It is without a doubt the sexiest restaurant I’ve been to this year. It feels like you’re stepping into a New York Jazz club in the 1970s. The menu is New York Italian. We had some excellent fritti then my husband had spaghetti and meatballs and I had a very good sea bass with caponata and green sauce. Excellent cocktails too and 10/10 service. Top marks for interiors and details too.
Also loved the Tamil Crown in Islington is very good! Definitely get the onion bhajis and aubergine curry.
Another one on my list is Donia. It’s Filipino street food and the menu looks mega!
