We are looking to stay in Kent for a few nights mid November (me, my husband and 15 month old) in an airbnb. Does anyone have any recommendations for locations - we have found quite a few in Whitstable but not sure if this is the best location or if Tunbridge Wells would be better. Weather not likely to be great so not too fussed about being by the coast and open to ideas! Thank you
I’m from Tunbridge Wells and it’s a lovely town to explore on foot, with plenty of gorgeous Kent villages and pubs nearby. But I’ve heard Whitstable is great and you could do a day trip to Canterbury from there which is also lovely. Sittingbourne and Tenterden are nice too. Also consider Rye and Deal, further along the coast.
I would recommend Updown Farmhouse in Deal - great food and small hotel attached. Lots of great food options in Deal too
I’d suggest checking out Canterbury. It’s a really nice city with a lot of history, like the famous Canterbury Cathedral. There are also some fun indoor places to visit, like the Roman Museum and the Beaney House, which is great if the weather is bad. Plus, it’s easy to drive to Whitstable or Tunbridge Wells if you want to explore those places too
