I’ve been asked by my sister in law to be her daughter’s Godmother this April. I haven’t a clue what to wear… my style is quite minimal and want to look smart but not over done. Dresses or other look recommendations would be appreciated. Ideal would be something I could build into my summer wardrobe and wear again.

How lovely! What about a trouser suit in a nice colour? That way you’ve got a jacket and trousers to mix and match later on…

I think a smart, silky trouser would be a great option as you can wear them all year round and dress them up and down. You could either pair with a knit or a smarter top and they work with flats or a heel, depending on how smart you want to go/how comfy you want to be. So versatile and loads of options out there! Would also wear a nice smart coat.

Thanks for the suggestion. I love the relaxed fit of that jaeger suit, I’m a bit of a colour phobe but it’s quite a soft blue so will order and try… helps I get discount with jaeger!
Was debating the silk trousers from Arket, thought they would be a good option to dress up and down and seen the SL team style them for travel too, one of the reasons they have been on my radar.
