Help styling structured / chunky loafers for work without looking shorter (petite girl!)

I have a pair of Todd’s patent leather loafers which I can’t seem to style without them making me look short / stumpy!

Ideas appreciated!

Feel like you can’t go wrong with a straight/wide leg tailored trouser! As a fellow short girl, I always find I need a shoe with a bit of height (small platform or heel) to help with looking taller/more elongated x

Loafers are so versatile… I’d say a barrel leg or straight jean would look great with a chunky loafer. Or with some sheer tights and shorts and a chunky knit.

I recently wore a pair of chunky loafers and I wore them with an oversized blazer as a dress with black tights - felt quite tall! xx

I also have a pair that I feel are a bit chunky so I balance them with wide leg loose black trousers and a chunky jumper with a longline coat so my silhouette is sleeker.
