Looking for Hen Do ideas for summertime please! The bride isn’t a big drinker but she loves crafty things, cabaret/drag shows and good food. She lives near Leeds/Manchester and only wants to stay over for one night so any recommendations around that area would be great. Or any inspiration would be much appreciated!
I love the idea of private dining for a hen party. In Manchester you could try Ivy Asia or King Street Townhouse, who both have private dining spaces. King Street Townhouse also have a private cinema room, so you could stream a movie, make use of their spa area and have a girls night in. Their hotel rooms are gorgeous too. I’m sure they’d help you arrange someone to come in to run a class. They have a beautiful rooftop terrace, which would be fab for drinks in the summer.
If your friend is into flowers, then Frog Flowers who are based in Manchester run workshops Flower School - Frog
Brunch is always a good way to round off a hen do
Thank you so much for your recommendations, I’ll look them up
(sorry for the late reply!)
There is so many places to go in Manchester
Look at the refugee they do nude line drawing classses.
I would also have a look at breadflower- often they do meets ups with bagels and yoga.
I would maybe suggest getting out of the city - head to Sale and you can hire canoes, take the tram to Chorlton and walk around the woods and take a picnic- also a trendy area for food.
For food with a show look at Firehouse or Albert schloss - both typical places people go for drinks but the food is decent and you will get a live performances in the evenings.
For lovely food with spaces for groups look at el gat negro/ tib street lane/ elencot/ Maray/
Easy food and drinks i would suggest heading to escape to frieght/ Rudy’s pizza/ bundobust/ Pollen bakery
Brilliant, thank you so much! I’ll look these up
No problem, also I’ve just remembered there is a company called Ministry of crafts in Manchester. So i would look at that too and see if there is any events- hopefully it would be in there place in Chorlton and you would have places to eat and drink around you.
The bride loves crafts so that sounds right up her street. I’ll look it up, thank you!
