I went earlier this year and loved it so much!

I would definitely stay in Roma Norte, such a cool neighbourhood with loads of nice cafes, vintage shops and restaurants.

All my recs from the trip are here:

I am from Mexico City, I always recommend Polanco or la condesa, intercontinental presidente is a great choice, it has amazing restaurants there and very central location close to everything

We split our trip between Polanco and Roma Norte. Both were amazing, but Roma Norte is definitely more culturally vibrant with cafes and restaurants while Polanco is a bit more high end.

Myself and my husband have been to Mexico City 3 times and would highly recommend Roma Norte or Condesa. We’ve wrote about our favourite spots too, which you might find helpful in planning your trip. Enjoy - we loved it!

Hello,

You dont happen to have any recommendations for Puerto Escondido by any chance please? Our son is at uni for a year and we are trying to organise a beach stay from Puebla. We are going in March. TIA.

Hi, yes of course. Puerto Escondido was one of our favourite places whilst we were travelling in Mexico. We’ve wrote a blog on our favourites here:

Hope this helps. It’s such a beautiful and chilled out place. Enjoy

Here are my recommendations:
Tour on casa wabi (reserve in advance)
Enjoy an afternoon drink in terrestre hotel
For a great Mezcal pairing go to cobarde Puerto (amazing experience for mezcal lovers)
Hiking in punta cometa is a fun activity, go at sunset hour
Kakurega omakase is a fine dining omakase experience in the middle of the Oaxaca jungle
Manialtepec Lagoon: A stunning bioluminescent paradise. In this lagoon, the water offers visitors a surreal spectacle.

Thank you so much.

Any particular hotels that you came across that you can recommend by any chance too please?

thank you. much appreciated.

Definitely stay in Roma Norte, Condesa or Juarez! They’re all next to each other, full of cute independent boutiques, lots of cafes & bars, and felt super safe there! I stayed in an AirBnb, there are lots of great options in those neighbourhoods!
