How to find jeans style?

Hi Florence! Do you have any advice on how to find the best jeans style for my body shape? I don’t think I’ve ever found the right fit!

Hi, my advice would be to dedicate some time for in person jean shopping, it is never that fun but I think it is best done in store. Personally I would go somewhere like Selfridges that has an amazing selection of brands and styles and try on LOTS. I also find the store staff there really knowledgeable and helpful.

Fits really vary depending on the brand so I think it is best to try a few at once, once you have found the style you can then look for similar on the high street too, I really rate Massimo Dutti right now for relaxed denim in particular. And this wide jean style from H&M are amazing value, I just got them and was really impressed by them.

When it comes to jeans I also find that unless they’re comfortable I just don’t want to wear them, and for the best comfort I’d really recommend Mother Denim. If you want to share your body shape, I’d be happy to give some suggestions to try!

Well, I don’t know what your body shape is, but I will write what I think is the best type of wear for every body shape:
Pear Shape: Bootcut or high-rise straight-leg jeans.
Apple Shape: High-rise straight-leg or boyfriend jeans.
Hourglass Shape: High-waisted skinny jeans.
Rectangle Shape: High-rise flared or boyfriend jeans.
Inverted Triangle Shape: Wide-leg or bootcut jeans
