Lipstick/gloss recommendation

Any brand recommendations for lip stick or lip gloss for 40+
I’m finding that so many are drying and make your lips age!

I find matte really awful on my lips as well.

I’ve been using this NARS – https://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/en/afterglow-lip-shine/999NAC0000122.html. I love it & don’t usually wear a gloss!

I also love this – I think it’s been discontinued but they may have similar, Lipstick Queen, Medieval. Sheer and moisturising x

Thank you! I will make trip into town at the weekend to buy.
CT’s pillow talk looks absolutely awful on my lips these days, it ages me x

The Clinique ‘Almost Lipstick’ is a really great lipstick/gloss hybrid. It’s technically transparent but blends with the pigment of your lips. Definitely not drying! https://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1605/4772/makeup/lipsticks/almost-lipstick--black-honey

Generation G by Glossier is also a fave! Generation G

Vieve is an amazing brand. Jaimie Genevieve is a renowned MUA who launched her own brand. All of their products are excellent & well priced. Their lip oils & lipsticks are my favourite. Long lasting, amazing pigmentation, creamy & incredible colours to choose from. Shop direct on Vieve website for customer rewards or via Cult Beauty. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I’m a huge fan of Cliniques chubby sticks so I love their chubby stick for lips in Fuller Fig. Really hydrating and flattering x

Thanks, we have similar hair colouring, so the shade might work well for me too!

I really love the Victoria Beckham lip glosses. They are a bit more pricey but worth it as they last forever and have a balm-y quality that feels so comforting. The colour payoff is impressive too

Glossier is super glossy and not too pricey either - Lip Gloss

I used to adore Estee Lauder lipsticks for their colours and scent, but stopped using them after I discovered that they test their products on animals.
The only lipsticks I use now are from Chantecaille, which were actually advertised on Luxemail! They are buttery and moisturising on my 45 year old lips. They smell good enough to eat! I also love their founder’s ethos. If you purchase certain products, a percentage of the profits are donated to wild animal conservation projects.
I recently ordered 3 lipsticks on a buy 2 get 1 free Singles Day deal, so I am stocked up for an entire year!

Hi,

Thanks so much for your reply. That’s great to heat about you’re Chantelcaille recommendation as I went into SpaceNK this week and I bought their Lip chic x

ILIA Balmy Gloss: Berry Mauve - Tinted Lip Oil | ILIA Beauty this is great for something hydrating with a great boost of colour too. Plus it’s made with good-for-you ingredients which shouldn’t dry out your lips.
