Lisbon Hen Do!

I’m planning a hen do next year in Lisbon. We’ll be going for three nights in May - does anyone have any recommendations for a group of ten? Cool restaurants, bars, beach clubs etc?

Or fun activities for a classy hen? Thanks!

Lunch Spots/Cafés:
Augusto: A great brunch spot ( @augustolisboapt).
Cafe Janis: An all-day chilled café (@cafejanis).
Fabrica: Known for excellent coffee all over Lisbon.
Time Out Market: Offers lots of cheap food options ( www.timeoutmarket.com/lisboa/en). It gets SO busy though

Beach Clubs:
Casa Reia: A new beach club with dinner and DJs ( www.casareia.com).
Irmao Beach Bar: A beach club with more festival vibes ( www.praia-irmao.com).

I would also definitely recommend a sunset boat tour - we booked via Groupia and it was great. 2 hours including some drinks and it was gorge.

Dinner:
Pica Pau: A traditional Portuguese dinner spot that is always good ( www.restaurantepicapau.pt/en).
BouBous: Seasonal and slightly fancier small plates ( www.boubous.com).
Leonetta: Offers excellent wine and pasta ( @leonetta_lisboa).
Danoi: A spot known for its amazing small plates.
Rooftop Bars:

Park Bar: A classic but no bookings so get there early (
www.therooftopguide.com/rooftop-bars-in-lisbon/park.html).
InSolito: Another rooftop bar option within a hotel - great cocktails ( www.theinsolito.pt/?lang=en).
Sky Bar: Located within the hotel Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa, views are great and it is good for hens as its a bit dressier ( www.tivolihotels.com/en/tivoli-avenida-liberdade-lisboa/restaurants/sky-bar).
Java: Doubles as a restaurant https://www.instagram.com/java_lisboa/?hl=en

Bars/Later On:

Lux: This is the biggest/most famous club in Lisbon so worth a visit if you are looking to go out out
Pensao Amor: A bar that used to be a brothel, known for excellent cocktails before you go to pink street ( www.pensaoamor.pt/).
Plateau: A club that plays 80s/90s bangers ( www.plateau.pt/).
Pink Street: Known for its numerous bars, it is VERY touristy but worth a visit as it is carnage
Trumps: A queer club, guaranteed fun times with drag performances etc

You’re welcome! If you choose one thing I would rec Casa Reia for sure, its a 30 min cab out of the main city but it is the perfect day-to-night vibe x

I had my hen in Lisbon last July and we did this Airbnb wine and dine secret supper club experience. It was amazing and would highly recommend. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/experiences/5597?location=Lisbon%2C%20Portugal&currentTab=experience_tab&federatedSearchId=6099a38d-475b-4875-9064-6b8956a9c01e&searchId=42afa3cd-3952-454a-9f3b-4ed43468b47a&sectionId=2693ddcb-7bdf-4e21-9f4e-009ddb4e10f9

Lisbon is one of my favourite cities - you will have so much fun exploring and celebrating! I went to a hen in May so recommend the following…

Comadre for dinner - we were a fairly big group so asked them to order a selection of dishes for us to share. It was delicious!

Manny’s Place - tiny restaurant with brilliant drag show if that’s up the group’s street. Food is good but entertainment totally worth it.

We did a walking tour with Jorge from WithLocals - highly recommend as they’ll tailor the tour to your group and was great for newbies and people who had been before. Since they know many people en route you might be in luck for some pastel de natas and/or sangria on your way around.

We went to Praia Princessa for lunch and beach time - pretty relaxed rather than a party scene but the food was divine. The tomatoes & burrata and prawn linguine were my favourite dishes.

Also recommend Skybar for drinks, Basilio for brunch and Manteigaria for the best pastel de natas.

If you’re a large group 13 of us stayed at this apartment which worked perfectly with lots of space to chill and socialise - Ubers are really cheap to the centre.

Happy planning! x
