My mum and i usually go to Ping pong for dim sum and dumplings but would like to try somewhere new, any recommendations? Thanks x
To state the obvious, Din Tai Fung but there are SO many better options imo!
Yauatcha in Soho is really good x
Agree with both of those!! Yauatcha is always great x
My favourite kind of food! My fave spots include:
BaoziInn Soho
Bun House
Dim Sum Duck
I went to Tofu Vegan with a non-vegan friend who loved it, the dim sum is amazing. Or Dim Sum & Duck in Kings Cross is another option
Oh love the idea of the vegan one! A bit more of a cocktail bar, but I love the dim sum they offer at Opium in China town!
I am VERY critical being brought up in Hong Kong and now living in London. My favourite and most authentic for dim sum: Golden Dragon Colindale and Pearl Liang in Paddington… these are midrange pricey. Cheaper you have Four Seasons in China town or Bayswater. More expensive you have China Tang at the Dorchester.
Immediately added to my list!
oh brilliant thank you for the recs
I am surprised no one mentioned Royal China on Baker Street! I am HK Chinese, so can vouch for their dim sum. There is also Royal China Club which is down the road for a more upscale dinner/finer dining affair. Din Tai Fung (for xiao long bao mainly, wouldn’t call this a dim sum restaurant) and Yauatcha (fancy dim sum with a twist) are also firm favourites of mine.
