Lunch outside of London

Looking for a nice lunch spot to go to on the bank holiday weekend on the way to Heckfield Place - maybe in Windsor / Marlow / Henley or anywhere else?
Nothing too fancy! x

Marlow is lovely… there is an Ivy Brasserie there which is always good… Marlow Restaurant | Places to Eat Marlow | The Ivy

I’d second Marlow which is a real foodie spot, mainly thanks to Tom Kerridge’s restaurants and pubs - there are some recs in here:

The Oarsman in Marlow is really nice: https://theoarsman.co.uk/

The River House in Windsor is lovely River House | Oakley Court

The old belle at Hurley Gx

If you’re not set on Windsor / Marlow way, The Mitre Hampton Court is lovely. On the river and there are cute antiques shops, cafes nearby (and the Palace and Bushy Park of course).

Guildford has a Coppa now, and good shopping or near South Downs for walks. There’s a lovely wine bar too, Corkage. An Ivy (and Ivy Asia).

Have you thought of vineyards? Albury in Surrey is lovely (and their wines stunning, organic and biodynamic); or Greyfriars too.

The Winning Post in Winkfield, Windsor. Beautiful quirky interior, scrumptious food and very friendly staff! Its a must and only 45 mins outside London! Very popular destination for Royal Ascot goers for drinks after the races or even to stay as they have rooms also!

The restaurant and garden hut at The Pig in Kent. Book well in advance!
