I think comfort is important if you are sitting at the cinema so a silky trouser is a good option. You could wear this with a matching silk shirt or a blouse. I would style this up with heels and jewellery too so you feel dressed up enough for dinner x
I would opt for something comfortable but also something that I would feel confident in. A dress or a jumpsuit or co-ord
I’d suggest wearing a pair of jeans with a cool shirt or a nice blouse. If it’s a bit cold, throw on a jacket or a cozy sweater. You want to be comfortable but also look like you put in some effort. Just make sure you feel good in what you’re wearing—that’ll help you relax and have a great time!
Jeans, tshirt, blazer and some statement jewellery. Maybe a good pair of flats too so you don’t feel too OTT in the cinema. Massimo Dutti have some good ones

I’ve recently been on a date to the cinema and was so happy that I wore long trousers, felt so comfortable the whole way through. I wore wide legged trousers so I wasn’t too warm and was comfortable sitting for long (for my body type jeans can be quite uncomfortable after a while). I wore this bandeau top from nakd with it and a blazer on top with some nice gold jewellery (necklace and earrings).
I agree with the silky/satin trousers vibe, I recently got this pair from Topshop on asos and I feel like they’re perfect for a day to night vibe as you can dress them up with a nice top and lots of jewellery for dinner!
