New york trip

Off to NY for week (get to tag along with my husband who will be working)
Has anyone got any ideas for things to do on my own during that time? Plus what’s fashion shops do I have to go to? The Frankie shop is already on my list.

Thank you!

The Real Real should be on your list for fashion!

During your downtime, you could go and explore a neighbourhood on your own - go for brunch, go to a gallery and mooch around the shops? Greenwich Village and Williamsburg are lovely, and you could easily spend a how day in Brooklyn too.

Plus, all of favourite recs are in our NYC guide here:

Have the best time!!! Get to Levain Login • Instagram if you can - the most insane cookies. Also the Time Out market https://www.timeoutmarket.com/newyork/ has really nice food options for a relaxed lunch in Brooklyn. And you can’t beat a Central Park stroll if you find yourself killing time x

Have the best time!! I am so jealous.
Bleecker street has some great shops! I also love Sea New York. You have to try Leons Bagels x

Who doesn’t love NYC!! I would defo recommend the Met - lots of cool pieces to see! The Moma museum is also so interesting.

So fun - I find NY easy to spend time alone in - plenty of people watching! Lots of great museums like the Guggenheim, Moma & Met! Also lots of good walks you can do down the Highline, across Brooklyn Bridge, & Central Park of course. I always like to wander around downtown as you can find so many cute independent boutiques around SoHo & the West Village.
Breakfast By Salt’s Cure & Bubby’s for great pancakes. Pop-Up Bagels & Tompkins Sq Bagels, Katz Deli is a classic & open 24h!

Agree with Sherri, The Real Real is a must!

I lived in NY for five years! You’ll have the best time. My ideal day involves window shopping on Madison Ave., popping into Ralph’s for a coffee, and a walk through Central Park. SOHO is the best neighborhood for shopping - in addition to cult favorites like J. Crew and Sezane, you’ll find more local boutiques, jewelry shops, and perfumeries. I also second the mention of The Met! Whether you go for one hour, or five, it’s worth popping by. The West Village is great to sit outside at a cafe and people watch over a glass of wine or coffee (feels a little like Europe). I lived in Brooklyn Heights, which is also a cute/historical neighborhood to walk around and grab an incredible croissant from L’Appartement 4F while you’re there x
