Hi all, I’m going to Bristol with my husband next week for our anniversary. We’ve got a nice dinner booked (Bulrush) and visiting the Lido, but looking for ideas for where to go for a light lunch and also any nice places for drinks eg cosy wine bar with date night vibes! Thanks in advance

Hi! I used to go to school in Cornwallis Grove, Clifton.
As the Lido is in Clifton and the Bulrush is in Cotham, I suggest you have a stroll around Clifton Village. There are lots of independent shops and boutiques, bars and restaurants, plus of course the Clifton Suspension Bridge over the River Avon.
‘The Last Word’ looks romantic, or ‘22 Clifton’ is a wine cellar offering light plates of hams, cheeses etc.
The other main area for bars and restaurants is down by Bristol docks, but this is a lot more lively!
For something interesting to do, why not visit the SS Great Britain?
