I have never been to the theatre before and looking to book tickets for December. What is a must see?

I would watch either the Lion King or the Nutcracker. Back to the Future the Musical is also worth watching.
If you’re into ballet definitely go for the nutcracker or swan lake! I have mouse trap on my list, if you like murder mysteries and Agatha Christie that might be the winner (I’ve heard so many great things)
The Mouse Trap is a classic! And one of the longest-running shows of all time!

The Almeida in Islington is a great theater in North
I thought the Book Of Mormon was great!
Witness for the Prosecution is a really good, and it’s running in London County Hall which is fun for setting the scene too
I second Book Of Mormon, it’s great.
There are some great new plays out at the moment. Check out Duke Of York & The National, they always have great stuff on.
Lily Collins’ Barcelona is starting soon, too…
I haven’t had a look recently to see what’s out, but anything from the National Theatre is usually a winner in my opinion.
I watched it in the cinema as it has come and gone from the Theatre, but Present Laughter was honestly one of the best things I have ever watched in my life. The acting, the plot, the staging, costumes, everything! Andrew Scott was an absolute marvel in it, could not turn my eyes away!!!
If it tours again or is still touring, 2:22 A Ghost Story is also incredible. To my knowledge, the cast changes depending on where you are, but the story line is so consuming. Was utterly captivated for the whole show
I love musicals! Moulin Rouge was amazing.
Just been to see Mamma Mia the Party.
Coming up I’ve got Mrs Doubtfire, The Devil Wesrs Prada & Starlight Express.
Pretty Woman was also fab. My friends are loving Magic Mike.
Hamilton has been running a longtime.
The Book of Mormon has great reviews.
The Lion King is a staple & safe bet.
Decide if you want a musical, play, comedy, opera or ballet.
Hamilton is a must see!
Come Alive! The greatest showman in theatre is next on my list.

Wicked is a favourite of mine if you’re looking for a musical and timely with the movie coming out soon. x
I’ve been to many shows over the years, mainly thanks to the app TodayTix, they have good “rush” tickets that you can buy on the day of the show, at really good prices for really good seats.
