Tips for dealing with hair breakage from bleaching

I had a super light balayage done over a year ago which has left me with quite a bit of damage & breakage. I’ve lost a lot of thickness & am struggling to grow it out long & thick again, any tips on keeping it healthy & growing it out faster? x

I have this too, and I live for masks and leave in conditioner!
I love the Gisou leave in conditioner and the Colorwow Money Mist! Just apply in damp hair and it will make your hair feel so much healthier.
I would also avoid any heat, so try not to style it with hot tools for a few months

Finally do a mask every week too, this will just help bring moisture back to the hair, I don’t think you can go wrong with Philip Kinglsey!

Second a hair mask! I would also focus on scalp treatments and a good shampoo, OUAI have a detox one which is great x

I swear by Chris Appleton’s Money Masque and Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Intensive Treatment. Both are SO good for treating damaged hair xx

Love the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Intensive Treatment! Have also heard good things about Olaplex but haven’t tried it myself

Perhaps worth adding a bond repair treatment into your routine, I like those by K18 and Living Proof. But yes echoing the above, laying off the heat will defo help x

Last year I was completely blonde and had this issue - considering my natural hair colour is black!
I did a lot of hair masks with oils the night before washing mostly with castor oil, argan oil and almond oil. These sorts of treatments helped with the brittleness/dryness of my hair, as well as make it super shiny.

I also started using the L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Absolut Repair Molecular Mask when I slick backed my hair, so I’d be able to have it in for longer which worked a charm! x

I second this! It’s really helped my (very bleached) hair x

K18 has been a lifesaver for my damaged hair, they have lots of treatment masks. I love their shampoo and conditioner!

I agree K18 is amazing! I often sleep in hair oils too which makes it feel so much softer.

I forgot to mention probably the most important thing that helped me with my hair breakage - you MUST invest in a silk pillowcase! Not only does it help my skin, but it really does make a difference to my hair softness and breakage reduction. Whilst on the pricey side, you do notice the difference between pure silk and synthetic. I have a couple sets of these xx
