Turning 25 skincare!

I’ve just turned 25 and aware that my collagen levels are decreasing, any tips on some anti aging skincare being someone who has a very basic and low maintenance routine?

I highly rate using [this product]. It works wonders on my skin. (COSRX The Retinol 0.5 Oil - Peaches&Creme Shop Korean Skincare Malta – Peaches&Crème K-Beauty and Skincare)

You also might want to add sheet masks to your beauty routine.

You need some peptides! It’s the ingredient everyone’s talking about at the moment and for good reason. Look for serums with it as they are thinner / absorb better.

Also, we wrote this recently which breaks down what you need by age skincare-wise - expert-approved!

If you’re worried about collagen I highly recommend adding it to your morning coffee, this one is actually okay price wise.

I also really enjoy using a Gua Sha whithin my beauty routine to improve blood flow and keep the skin healthy!

Happy Birthday! :balloon: If you’re going to do one thing, I’d add a vitamin C serum into your routine. (AM, then follow up with SPF) Great for boosting radiance and protecting against damage caused by environmental aggressors x

I’d say a super easy way to keep your skin looking fresh and to make the most of results you have from your skincare regime is SPF! Make it part of your daily morning routine. x

Hey Robyn,

We actually just did a perfect video for this on SL’s Beauty School here

Hope this helps! x

Totally agree with Vit C, this serum is my go-to I’ve used it for years to brighten my skin: https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/p/sunday-riley-c.e.o.-glow-vitamin-c-turmeric-face-oil-35ml/12053028/?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw6c63BhAiEiwAF0EH1OZPLL1mxKdJLoWWW7WYgNYfgqEq1jg91Vu1q4gqj104-bYy5mxiIBoC4bEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Hi there
I am just like you and didn’t want to embark on a skincare routine that was too complicated - I knew I wouldn’t keep to it.
Decree was the answer! So easy to follow! - https://thedecree.com
I have now stuck to it for 18 months and am very happy with the results!
Good luck

I agree with the recommendation to add collagen to your morning coffee, if you drink it, otherwise can be added to smoothies. Vital Proteins is a great price point, and the JS Health marine collagen is good if you want a vegan collagen option.

The two most important things for anti-aging at 25 is SPF and hydration. I’d introduce an HA serum, eye cream, and a moisturizer with ceramides. You can also add a vitamin C or niacinamide serum, but it’s also ok to put that off for a few more years. If you have little to no signs of aging, I’d also hesitate to start a retinoid.

HA serums -

Eye cream -

Moisturizer -

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase HA Light 50ml - Boots (they have a more intense one of this if you have dry skin)

A great place to have your skin examined is the French Pharmacy in Marylebone. You can book with a consultant and they will advise you what to do. I found them extremely trust worthy and helpful and with great products that did not break the bank too!
