I’m looking for a quintessentially French bistro in Paris, somewhere with a more old than modern vibe to it that also serves excellent food (and wine). Does anyone know somewhere?
Bouillon Julien is a brasserie-type restaurant in the 10th arrondissement, the Art Nouveau decor is pretty special, really reasonable too!

Chez l’Ami Jean not far from the Eiffel Tower for somewhere fun but traditional, and Au Pied de Cochon by the Bourse de Commerce musuem for a special meal - its menu has stayed the same for years (in the best way) and the desserts are excellent!
I would head to Place Victor Hugo in the 16th - plenty of restaurant brasserie options like: Brasserie Victor Hugo
