I’m a 31-year-old female relocating to London in January for a six-month master’s program. Although my school is in West Hampstead (near Finchley Road Station), I’d love to hear your recommendations for the best neighborhoods to live in. I’m looking for a place that not only makes my daily commute convenient but also allows me to make the most of life in the city.
I personally love Notting Hill, Kensal Rise/Queens Park areal! They’re all close enough to West Hampstead and near enough to central London - while also well connected to east London. All those areas have lovely small shops, cafes and restaurants/pubs. And you’re close enough to night life too!
If you want to go more east Angel is lovely too, same sort of vibe just further east!
Highgate is so lovely and not too far! Lots of nice pubs, restos and bars etc. Has a lovely community feel too and easy to get into central
