HEIM - good brunch spot, they don’t do table bookings but if you get there at a good time its ok!

SEAGULL METHOD > cute brunch spot

TRICKYS > Kitsch and cool + has a cute little bar, bit of a Brooklyn vibe

CAFE JANIS - Staple here for lunch and brunch

JAVA - great rooftop, delicious food and ticks all the boxes

ATIRA TE AO RIO - Across the river - can take a ferry from Cais do Sodre - its next to Ponto Final which is the super Wes Anderson instagram restaurant you will see all over tiktok/insta lately - this one is next door and better food!

PINOQUIO - excellent Portuguese food and a bit old school, for sure you got to get the pica pau (small strips of beef in a sauce)

CAFE SAO BENTO - Amazing steak place with an old school feel, get their house steak which is served with lemon!

MAGONLIA (a favourite) - Super cute wine bar - on one of the best squares in Lisbon, best place for like 3/5pm or else its packed

VINO VERO - very good wine bar and atmosphere, specialises more in natural/ organic wines. Slightly out of way in graça but great crowd

INSACIAVEL - my local wine bar, love it here - amazing food and great selection of wines (more natural and organic)

DA NOI - very cool spot, great wines and delicious dishes - get the cacio e pepe beans, slight hipster feel and also a very small

OYSTER & MARGARITA - good for drinks and well oysters…

ROSAMAR - highly recommend for unique seafood dishes and super cool spot -

VAGO - Cocktails and Dj - small but cool place, amazing drinks, go early as they always get a line

LUPITA - Pizza - very good pizza but small place, they do take away -

COSTA CAPRICA – Caparica - located just outside Lisbon should be like a 15/20 euro Uber and about 30mins, can get tricky with traffic. Amazing long sunsets, MUST DO - go for a long late lunch and stay for the atmosphere to dusk

CASA REIA - think tulum meets Portugal, good food and aesthetic atmosphere (bit hippy)

PRINCESCA - more of a south of France feel right on the beach

Thank you and really helpful to have ideas for drinks versus dinner! I’m guessing that the majority of these are quite central?

Yes all very central - Lisbon is quite small to be honest, and use bolt not uber its about 20% cheaper!
I moved here in Feb and love it –

Amazing thank you for taking the time to respond. Great advice!

I organised a hen party here and our favourite things were:

  • Sala de Corte (pre-book for fab steak and wine)
  • princesa beach club: you can book an area/ beds for the whole day and a DJ normally plays before sunset. Approx 40min taxi from Lisbon
  • Manteigaria – for Pastéis de Nata dotted about Lisbon. They’re amazing!
  • SILK for sushi and a lovely view for sunset drinks of the bridge
  • Time out market for a casual lunch / nibble/ dinner
  • pink street for pre-drinks / fun vibe where the bars spill out on to the street

See more of our recommendations on thehungrysoles.com

Have a fab time! x

My recommendations if you’re looking to come to Portugal in the summer, Setúbal is like a seaside town right across the bridge, an hour from the airport, it has the clearest waters and best beaches, as a plus, not a lot of tourists go there so you’ll be noughts locals.

Stay in a beach house in Tróia, Grândola
Beaches at Arrábida (Next to the Setúbal Natural Park)

Boavista Social club looks like a really cool spot for food, drinks and good music - https://www.instagram.com/boavista.socialclub/?hl=en
